HVHTA Palgrave to Bolton Hike – RESCHEDULED

START TIME: 9:30 AM

DISTANCE: 8 km or 15.5 km

DURATION: 2.5 hrs or 5 hrs

DESCRIPTION: Join us for our first end to end hike of the year on the Caledon section of the Humber Valley Heritage Trail, starting at the north end (a second hike in November will begin at the southern extremity). Our April hike will experience the Valley as it starts to come back to life after the long winter season…look for early signs of spring all around, from wildflowers at trailside to new leaves in the canopy above.

Built and maintained by Bolton Chapter, our trail is becoming well known as one of the best hiking opportunities in the GTA. This is the first year that we are scheduling two end-to-enders…same trail–but in different seasons, and going in different directions!

For those hikers who prefer a shorter outing, a vehicle will be shuttled to Casterderg Road approx. 8 km along the trail to provide a halfway exit point.

Take a lunch if you are planning to hike from end to end.

Well-behaved dogs are most welcome.

DIRECTIONS: We will meet at Dick’s Dam Park in downtown Bolton, and carpool to the starting point.

To find Dick’s Dam: from Queen Street (Hwy 50) and King Street (main intersection in older part of Bolton), take Queen Street north to Hickman Street, turning west to Glasgow Road. Follow Glasgow Road north to Dick’s Dam Park on your left just before the narrow bridge.
