Forks of the Credit Hike

DURATION: 2 – 2.5 hrs

DESCRIPTION: You are invited to explore lovely Forks of the Credit Provincial Park. The 8 km loop hike begins where the West Credit and Credit Rivers join (“The Forks”), and continues along Dominion Street through the historic hamlet of Brimstone. The trail wanders through the valley and along the river to a viewing platform overlooking the Cataract Falls and the ruins of the old Hydro Station. After crossing the river, our hike will return on the other side of the scenic valley back to our starting point.

For the more adventurous, an additional 3 km would let you experience the Devil’s Pulpit. For the hungry, the Belfountain Inn is 5 minutes up the road (we aim to please everyone!).

To bring: Wear boots, bring a snack, water or thermos of hot drink.

LOCATION: Hike will start from parking area on Forks of the Credit Rd just before the Dominion St. bridge.
