Humber Valley Heritage Trail: BOLTON TO PALGRAVE

9:30 am, Saturday, November 7/2015  (2.5 hours or 5 hours)

This hike will follow the entire HVHT from Bolton to Palgrave, but hikers have the option to do only the first half as far as Castlederg Sideroad if they wish. At a moderate pace, we will traverse varied and interesting terrain with quite moderate hills. For directions to meeting place for carpooling, look to bottom of this notice.

Wear sturdy shoes/boots & sun hat, and consider taking a sunscreen/rainjacket. Don’t forget to bring water, a lunch, and your camera. Well-behaved dogs are most welcome.

Hike Leader:

Bob Slack has been leading hikes for HVHTA & Bruce Trail Conservancy for many years, and never tires of taking people along the Humber Valley trail.

We will meet on Humber Station Road near Palgrave, about 3 km north of Old Church Road. This is the intersection with the Caledon Trailway and is the northern terminus of the Humber Valley Heritage Trail, and some cars will be left here.

We will then drive rest of our vehicles to Dick’s Dam Park, where we will start our hike. Hikers who wish to finish halfway at Castlederg will be able to drop their vehicles off there on the way to start point.

At end of hike, drivers who left cars at start will be delivered back to their vehicles at Dick’s Dam.
