Bruce Trail Hike: Scotsdale Farm

10:00 am, Saturday, December 5, 2015

Hikers will explore the rolling hills and woodlands of historic Scotsdale Farm, still a working heritage farm after 200 years of cultivation.  The Farm is situated on the Niagara Escarpment in the Halton Hills, not far from Georgetown.  The hiking route follows a variety of trails which feature pastoral countryside, mature forests, wetlands, and a bridge crossing over Silver Creek.

The distance will be a minimum of 9.3 km with an option of an additional 5 km depending on weather and the group.

Bring a lunch, water (and a flask of tea if it is a cold day), wear layers and hiking boots.

Hike Leader:

Doreen Smith is a very experienced hiker on the Bruce Trail and many other pathways in our country & overseas, and a long-time HVHTA board member who has led many hikes for our members & guests
