Distance approx. 10 km (strenuous at times).
Bruce Trail Edition 28, map 18, km 44.4 to 49.4 rtn .
Join us for an early December hike on the Bruce Trail just north of Glen Haffy Conservation area. We will enjoy an interesting variety of scenery, as the trail passes by mature woods, open parkland, reforestation plantations & farm fields. Our hike will take us into the most northerly & westerly headwaters of the Main Humber River, almost 30 km northwest of Kleinburg.
The terrain will be variable, and hilly. Hiking boots are a must, and the hiking will be strenuous at times.
Be sure to bring a lunch and water. Well behaved dogs on leash are welcome.
Mike Davis is an experienced hiker on the Bruce Trail and many other trails in Ontario, Alberta, the Adirondacks & overseas. He serves as membership director for HVHTA Kleinburg Chapter.
