Walk the King City Trail

CANCELLED DUE TO TRAIL CONDITIONS

Description

Join us at the heart of King City at 10:30 AM for a 2-hour winter wander, perfectly timed to invigorate your senses and capture the serene beauty of winter’s embrace.

The trail, a gentle meander through the picturesque landscapes of King City, will be our backdrop as we tread lightly on the snow-covered path. The tranquil setting, complemented by the soft whisper of the winter breeze, offers a perfect setting for a leisurely hike. While we navigate through the wintry scenes, Iain will share interesting snippets about the local flora, fauna, and the rich history of the area.

Winter Hiking Recommendations:

Dress warmly in layers to suit the chilly temperatures and wear sturdy winter boots for a safe and comfortable walk. If the trail is icy, “icers” over your boots will provide additional stability. In case of deep snow, snowshoes can enhance your hiking experience.

Hike Leader:

Iain Craig, a long-time HVHTA board member and hike leader, will guide us through this winter spectacle. Renowned for his deep knowledge and passion for the Humber River watershed, Iain’s storytelling will enrich your experience, intertwining the beauty of nature with the rich tapestry of local history.
