Early Bird Walk – Oak Ridges Moraine

(NE of Nobleton)

Birders from across Ontario are flocking to Happy Valley Forest to spot spring migrants they can see here and nowhere else in our province. You can join Geoff and local birders to glimpse or listen to the seasonal songs of some of these birds yourself – if they cooperate! Weather permitting, the forest will echo with bird calls and, as always, we’ll enjoy beautiful wildflowers, a variety of ferns, and towering century-old trees.

So come for a walk in one of Canada’s natural masterpieces. You’ll enjoy a glorious walk in a spectacular old forest!

Because the Forest is located on the Oak Ridges Moraine, there are plenty of small hills and valleys. The terrain will be moderate in difficulty, and the pace will be easy & comfortable for the average hiker.

Bring a water bottle, your camera & binoculars if you have them.

Geoff Simpson is an experienced hiker and birder and long-time HVHTA board member.
