Headwaters Of The Humber Hike
(N. of Mono Mills)
Winter is my absolute favorite season to hike. Something about the cold that makes nature seem more Alive, Alert & Perfect!
Want an added (health benefit) bonus? Cold weather hiking is excellent for cardiovascular health and burns more calories.
Join us for an early winter hike on the Bruce Trail just north of Mono Mills.
This hike will take us into the most northerly & westerly headwaters of the Main Humber River, almost 30 km northwest of Kleinburg.
The terrain will be variable, and hilly, and the hiking will be strenuous at times.
Gentle Reminders:
- There are no washrooms facilities on this hike.
- Hiking boots or even winter boots are a must.
- Be sure to bring water, a snack and layered clothing appropriate to weather forecasted.
Roland Gatti is President of HVHTA Kleinburg Chapter and an experienced hike leader.
