Spring Hike: Apiary Loop – Sunday, April 6
Join us for an early spring hike on the scenic Apiary Loop in the Nashville Conservation Reserve!
DATE CHANGE DUE TO RAIN ON SATURDAY
📅 Date: Sunday, April 6, 2025
🕙 Time: 10:00 AM – approx. 12:00 PM
📍 Meeting Location: Will be sent to the email used to register for the hike
We’ll explore a 5 to 6 km loop trail, taking about 2 hours at a relaxed pace. The entire trail has recently been cleared and trimmed by TRCA staff and is in great shape for the season.
Along the route, we’ll pass a newly constructed rock habitat designed to support the Eastern Small-footed Bat, a species now at risk. This unique conservation feature is located near the abandoned house along the trail—keep an eye out for both!
What to Bring:
✔️ Sturdy footwear
✔️ Water
✔️ Layered clothing – the current forecast is calling for sun and a high of 9°C
It’s a perfect opportunity to stretch your legs, enjoy some fresh air, and see signs of spring emerging. All are welcome!
