Hike: Bolton to Huntington – Thank Goodness for Another Spring Hike!
Stretch your legs and join us for a satisfying 13 km spring hike through scenic King Township!
📅 Date: Saturday, April 26, 2025
🕘 Time: 9:00 AM start
📍 Starting Point: South end of 11th Concession, approximately 0.5 km south of King Road
📏 Distance: 13 km round trip
⏳ Duration: Approx. 3 hours including breaks
🥾 Difficulty: Moderate, with some uneven terrain
🛤 Trail Surface: Mix of dirt roads, paved surfaces, and potentially muddy sections
We’ll head east toward Huntington Road before looping back to our starting point. This early spring route offers a blend of forest, open fields, and countryside roadways—an energizing and scenic walk as the landscape comes alive with the season.
Optional Lunch Extension:
For those with time and energy, the hike leader will continue on to Cheeks Restaurant in Bolton for lunch. The additional leg adds about 10 km return from the starting point. Carpool options may be available depending on attendance.
What to Bring:
✔️ Sturdy waterproof hiking shoes or boots
✔️ Hiking stick or poles (recommended for uneven terrain)
✔️ Water and snacks
✔️ Dress in layers—spring conditions can vary

Membership funds are used to cover the construction, maintenance and insurance costs of the trail. You don’t have to be a member to use the trail, but if there were no members, there would be no trail!
