🌞 Mid-Summer Hike – Nashville Conservation Reserve

Explore meadowland trails and forested hills along the Humber River

📅 Date: Sunday, July 6, 2025
🕤 Time: 9:30 AM
📍 Location: Nashville Conservation Reserve (directions provided upon registration)
🚶 Distance: 3–5 km
Duration: 1.5 to 2 hours
🥾 Difficulty: Easy to moderate – some hills, no difficult sections

Join us for a mid-summer loop hike in one of the Humber Valley’s hidden gems. Nestled between Kleinburg and Bolton, the Nashville Conservation Reserve features a mosaic of rolling meadows and forested ravines with peaceful views and shaded trails. HVHTA volunteers have been maintaining this trail for more than a decade, and it remains a favorite for local walkers.

This area is part of a long-term vision for an integrated trail system, based on the TRCA’s 2015 Master Trail Plan, in which HVHTA plays an active role. As this plan continues to take shape, this hike offers a chance to enjoy the trail’s natural charm before it becomes more widely known.

The walk will follow a gentle pace on a 3–5 km loop. The terrain includes a few hills but is manageable for most hikers. It’s a perfect outing to enjoy the summer greens, spot wildlife, and catch some quiet time in nature.

What to Bring:

✔️ Hiking footwear
✔️ Water bottle
✔️ Sunscreen
✔️ Camera (optional)
✔️ Long pants recommended (due to grasses and ticks)
