Join us for a scenic and story-filled hike through an area rich in both natural beauty and historical character. This outing offers a quiet walk through the Humber Highlands, with reflective moments by the water and a glimpse into the area’s past.
We’ll begin our hike on Dufferin Street and head west along a trail that leads to Eton Hall, a stately heritage building nestled in the King Campus woods. From there, we’ll continue west to a new boardwalk that provides an easier crossing of a wetland area.
After exploring the boardwalk, we’ll backtrack to Eton Hall and take a loop around Lake Seneca, enjoying peaceful views and likely some fall colour. The route then heads toward the college before linking with the old railway line that once connected Oak Ridges to Schomberg—now just a path, but still echoing with history. We’ll follow the railway trail north back to our starting point.
What to Bring:
✔️ Hiking shoes or boots (some uneven terrain)
✔️ Water and a snack
✔️ Camera or binoculars (optional)
✔️ Dress in layers for fall conditions
