We’ll be looking for old growth trees, species who call the Nashville Conservation Home and catch glimpses of the Humber river.

The Nashville Conservation Reserve is a large Toronto and Region Conservation area located in York Region. The landmass is over 2,200 acres and is found within the main subwatershed of the Humber River Watershed. The conservation is home to a vast variety of wildlife and is an important migratory corridor. The Nashville Conservation Reserve is an integral part of the region’s natural heritage system.

There will be occasional stops during the hike to learn more about the ecological value of the Nashville Conservation Reserve, and plenty of opportunities for participants to engage with nature in a meaningful and fun way! There is now free parking available in a newly constructed parking lot at the Huntington Rd and Kirby Rd intersection for hikers!
