Join us for a beautiful autumn hike through the maple forests and valleys north of Bolton, where the changing season brings rich colours and spectacular views across the Humber River landscape.
We’ll begin by descending into the valley, following trails northward past several scenic lookouts, stands of maple trees, and an intriguing area known as the Enchanted Garden. Along the way, we’ll encounter remnants of an old road or dam, offering a glimpse into the area’s changing landscape and history.
Our route then climbs the valley wall before continuing toward the site of former cottages near Emil Kolb Parkway. These traces of earlier settlement provide an interesting reminder of how people once lived and travelled through the Humber Valley.
We’ll return to our starting point along a slightly different route, enjoying more of the forest and valley scenery along the way.
π This is a loop-style hike, beginning and ending at the Caledon Centre for Recreation and Wellness parking lot.
